SHOW 'X' FEATURED LOCAL ARTISTS
BRANDINA CHISAMBO
Brandina is a multidisciplinary artist who loves including all her passions into one art form. She particularly enjoys making art which is sensory so you’ll find a variety of mixed media in her work. This explains why the art displayed, although on a canvas, has elements that you can touch.
STEPH MORRIS
Steph Morris is a British artist using the traditional combination of pencil on paper to create her works. Steph showcases the perfect union of skill and heart to create timeless pieces exploring fashion and its culture. Her patient approach and execution defies the frantic pace of the subject that she bases her work upon. Steph's work has attracted global attention from brands and culturally relevant figures alike.
NASHA CASH
Nasha Cash is a Manchester based artist and illustrator whose work comprises a dichotomy of explosive and expressive use of colour and monochrome puddles of line and form. Taking much of her inspiration from dreams, meditative practices, folklore and psychedelic experiences, Nasha’s work is weird and whimsical and a little silly.
DANI WRIGHT
Dani is a California born painter based in Manchester. I love exploring the intersections of different people in unique places through my artwork, and have recently become especially interested in more of a mixed media approach, allowing different textures and styles to overlap and communicate into a dynamic depiction of my experiences.
CIGS
For Manchester-based artist Cigarettes and Scratchcards - it’s deeper than music.
The self-described “anti-rapper” is something of a non-conformist when it comes to the current music climate. His sound consists of social observations and dystopian dialect.
Whilst Cigs is largely known for his compelling production, best observed through 2022’s “Scorched Earth Tapes”; he is also building a reputation as one the UK's most promising rappers, and audio engineers. From the pen to the press - he does it all.
PETE OBSOLETE
My name's Pete, and I believe in art.
Under the guise of PeteObsolete, I have been working in Manchester as an artist for the past 15+ years, doodling, painting, hosting and rapping with some of the best artists and musicians this city has to offer.
I describe my style as 'creative illustration', but I like to combine lyrics, symbols, portraiture, patterns and runic elements in my work, as well as a bit of energy, character and 'fun'.
4JB3 STUDIO
4JB3 is an artist using his work to portray his ideas, memories and feelings through his character J-Boy aka 'The Guy’. His style is reminiscent of video games, cartoons and films of the 2000s. It’s a playful style somewhere between cartoons and reality, mirroring his feeling of living the life of an ‘adult’ whilst being a child at heart.
CYRUS HO
Born and raised in Hong Kong, Cyrus Ho is now based in Manchester after completing his BA in Fine Art and Design and MA in Art Gallery and Museum Studies. His work consists of automatic drawings and doodles using primarily pen on paper, occasionally with acrylic and ink as well. Themes include personal memories, experiences, the imagination, and the subconscious.
AMY CONEY
As a visual artist, my practice is led by the exploration of human expression and the beauty of nature; communicated through meaningful and resonating pieces.
I continue to make my mark on walls with vibrant murals, playing with abstraction and colour, bringing personalities to life through intricate portraits, and working with brands from design to activation.
